Children’s areas in Madrid

One of the moments in which tourism grows and a great number of people is noticed is during children’s holidays. This is the moment when school has finished and the entire family can the take advantage to travelling all together to new places. This happens a lot in Madrid; many families come to the city to spend their holidays.
One of the problems or dilemmas that families have is which activities they will carry out since it is very common that children want to play all the time while their parents want to meet different places more related to culture. Luckily for them, in Madrid different children’s areas can be found and they are located strategically so that all the family are satisfied.
Play areas for children
Along the city, many children games areas can be found, distributed in different squares and parks. Some of the most common ones are located along Fuencarral street, Santa Ana square, Tirso Molina square, Dos de Mayo square, among others. All these places have games made for children and also all of them have soft grounds or sand. In this way, hits, wounds and injuries are avoided.
In the Palacio Real zone and in Paseo de Prado Boulevard, two very visited touristic zones for its cultural value have children’s areas. They are designed specifically thinking about parents, so that they can continue their touristic path without deviating, at the same time that children can play and spend their energy.
Ideal places in parks
One of the best places to go with children is found in Madrid Rio. In this place, there are seventeen children games zones, with 65 varieties of possible activities. Based on sustainable materials, they are adapted to different age groups. Some of the most recommendable places are the slides Hill, the death slides, the trunks jungle, the beach and the string paths. It is impossible that children and young people get bored in this place with such a great variety of games and activities.
Another park which stands out is Parque El Retiro. In this space, eleven children’s games are available. Adding up to this, people can skate, go cycling, sunbathe and go rowing. Besides, musicians, jugglers, magicians and shows for children are available.
This place is key in a family visit, because it is near points of interest, among them Paseo del Arte. After playing with children, parents can take advantage and visit three of the most important picture galleries of all Spain: Museo del Prado, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and Museo Reino Sofía. Even children, after playing and spending some energy can participate in these art journeys.
